I’m a senior and I’ll be applying to schools relatively soon, so I’ve been kind of curious as to what my chances will be (I’m an only child so this is my family’s first time through the process). High school hasn’t been the best time for me and I’ve struggled with anxiety, so my grades are a bit below where I’d like them to be. Anyway, the schools I’m applying to are:
-Brown (legacy, parents wanted me to give it a shot)
-UNC Chapel Hill (legacy)
-UNC Wilmington
-Stonehill
-Providence College
-Salve Regina University
-Elon
-BU
Which schools are going to be easier/harder to get into for me? I don’t need exact admission chances but I’m just curious where I have a strong chance (or not so much).
Some info:
Weighted GPA: 89.47 (low 90s in all classes but math, where I average around a 75. I’m awful at it and it pulls my grades down considerably)
AP scores: Psychology (5), English Language and Composition (4)
ACT (still waiting on scores from today, but these are from April '16 with no prep at all): Reading 30, Writing 29, English (grammar) 26, Science 26, Math 21
Classes being taken senior year: AP Bio, AP English Lit, AP Gov, Spanish 5, Computer Science
Extracurriculars: Link Crew Leader (freshman orientation, speaking at freshman seminars, etc), school community service club (5ks, blood drives, etc), Spanish National Honor Society, Social Studies National Honor Society, Art National Honor Society, Art Club, Yearbook, working (paid) as a secretary for a lawyer, writing and publishing for online mental health magazine, internship at my school’s special Ed department, etc
Intended major: Psychology with a biology/neuroscience/marine bio minor (not sure which one yet)
Thanks in advance!
