Lol stressing over a 33c. More important: are you in-state? If so, are you in Nova?
Which school? MCAS I’d say you have a decent chance
lol
@govictors555 You have an excellent shot.
Im not in state though @ibseniorsev @exoheat11 @Fishnlines29
Look, everything is relative. For a school with a 30% chance admit rate (hovers around 24% of OOS) you could argue it’s a reach for everyone. You have the stats so if you keep your GPA and have excellent recommendations, I think you have as good a chance as anyone. Is it a bit tougher OOS? Probably, but they still take a nice percentage of kids from OOS, I think around 27-28% or so.
Just make sure you have a well balanced list of colleges to apply to. You need some strong matches/safeties that you would be happy attending. Also, be very clear about how much your family is willing to pay per year prior to applying anywhere! Don’t let them be vague, confirm a number.
Brown: reject (they care a lot about EC’s and yours seem kinda typical/common/unimpressive)
Michigan: accept
UCLA: accept? (not 100% sure)
UCB: idk much about this school
UNC: waitlist/accept
UVA:waitlist/ accept
BC: accept
NU: reject
WUSTL: reject (unless you show tons of interest)
USC: accept
Emory: waitlist/accept (depending on interests)
CMU: accept if non-engineering
Vandy: waitlist/accept
WFU:idk much about this school

@govictors555 Yes, I think BU, NYU and BC are within range. I think your original list is a bit top heavy, not because you can’t get in, you certainly can, but because there are thousands of applicants with similar stats and only so many spots each school can fill. That said, you will get into colleges and have a good shot at any of them. Just make sure you have a few from each “level” that you would truly enjoy attending.
I wouldn’t put too much focus on ‘chance me’ threads, especially to how other HS kids are listing out your schools and saying accepted/rejected etc. because they have no idea. I have no idea. No one on here has any idea because we’re not adcoms. Some of us who have read these boards, been through it and have done a ton of research can certainly give some advice and make some educated guesses and know that with a well balanced list you will get results - that’s the approach. The best thing you can do to chance yourself is to look at the Common Data Set for each college and see what the statistics are and what they find important during the application process.
You have a strong application and your essays could be the tipping point at some schools. As you start to narrow down your college list and write essays, I’m happy to help out and review (just pm me). One thing I can tell you is that they take longer than you think! When my daughter was applying, she had her common app essay completed over the summer, but then had to write multiple supplemental essays and they do take time and you should be thoughtful about them.
@Fishnlines29 thank you very much! iwill be applying to my state school as a safety school as it it is a decent school with a good price attached to it. I am in the process of finding target schools/ more schools that I think I will most likely get into. I appreciate the detailed response!

Your ECs are really odd for a premed track.
Chance me back if you can.
@nmaca22 do you think my ECs will be viewed negatively? I have done Other things such as governors school for sciences, research, as well as volunteering at a nursing home
I don’t think negatively, because it shows you put effort into things you enjoy. But I’m not sure how you’d make it super positive. If you can make a banger of an essay to explain yourself, you’ll be unique and they may very well be positives.
do you have any hooks - legacy, URM, first generation in college?
