<p>You are correct, you will be held to a much higher standard as an early graduate. I hope your letters of recommendation say something about your “exceptional maturity” for your age? </p>

<p>Elite colleges like to see real community service – giving something back to those less fortunate than you. They also have an appreciation for kids from low-income families who need to work part-time to help pay the bills. I’m not sure what they will make of random internships, however; if it was focused in an area that you were especially passionate about it might be a plus, but your list looks like you ended up just working for places where your parents know the owners to fill the time, which is pretty much a negative. You would have been better off doing more straight volunteer work, especially in a leadership position.</p>

<p>It’s very, very hard for a 3-year HS grad to get into a top-15 school. My son did it (now attending Brown), but he had perfect stats and more leadership positions. As far as we can tell, there was only one other 3-year grad admitted with him that year.</p>
