Can I get into UCLA and/or Berkeley? Please tell me your true opinion; no need to sugar coat it. Thank you!

Your SAT scores are great and your GPA is pretty good. You also have a lot of great EC’s - It doesn’t just look like you’ve done certain things just for college. I think that if you just continue with your EC’s it’ll look like a consistent passion and that you’ve made a difference in your community. I think that if you do a good job at your essay, continue with a good GPA(maybe try and rise it this next year as much as you can - you’re still in high school right?), and continue with such great EC’s you should have a really good possibility of getting in. I’m not saying your a shoe in - because I’m not an expert - but I definitively think that you have a really good chance at it. So don’t stress out to much over it~ I’m sure you’ll get into a great university!

Also, on a side note, I’m looking to start my own nonprofit organization. So far its just jumbled ideas that have been passed around. So I was wondering if you could share your experience of how you started yours and any pointers on starting one?

I think you have a great chance to get in. Your SAT score is great. You should probably retake your SAT II’s but those are easy to improve, unlike SAT reasoning which takes a considerable amount of effort (maybe not for most people). Your extracurriculars are amazing. You’re a founder of an organization and an intern. Great, and also piano for 13 years. Some people may say that’s normal since all Asian kids plays piano. I still think it’s a great talent to have and most ppl I know quit piano after middle school. I’ve also started a nonprofit organization for Smiletrain.
