Chance me for UCSB, UCSC, and Occidental?

<p>Can I get into UCSB, UCSC and Occidental with these stats?
Hey CC! Longtime lurker first time poster!
I'm an Asian junior right now in a SoCal highschool. My dream school is Occidental cause its literally like 10 minutes from my house but I would also be ecstatic to get into UCSC or UCSB. :D</p>

<p>GPA
UW:~3.63 W: ~3.8
UCGPA: 3.83
I did really bad my first semester of Junior year; I have no excuse -I was just really really lazy. I got a D in Trig and a C in APUSH. I'm going to make up my D in summer school so hopefully that will help.</p>

<p>Test Scores:
SAT:
I haven't taken them yet but realistically for the SAT I'll get around 1700.
AP:
Sophomore: World History (4)
Junior: taking US History, Biology, and Lang
Senior (planned): Environmental Science, Art History, Lit </p>

<p>EC:
so far:
3 years at a Scientific Research class (this is sort of like independent study)
3 years of an Environmental Club
2 years of a community service Club
2 1/2 years of Academic Decathlon; a few awards, 1 county medal
1 year research/volunteering at an Archaeology Lab </p>

<p>Misc:
First Gen, LOW income</p>

<p>With a high rank, I believe you can be auto-admitted to the UC’s. However, I’ll assume you aren’t for the sake of chancing you. The SAT scores you are projected are low. At Santa Cruz [I’m hoping this is the UCSC you’re talking about], the projected SAT would be fine, but if you can get the SAT to 1850~ range then Santa Barbara would also be fine. However, with Occidental, being more liberal arts than the research-based UC’s, they’d probably want to see more leadership/awards from your EC’s. However, your situation and work ethic should help you prevail.</p>

<p>In summarization:
Really study for the SAT and bring it to around 1800-2000</p>

<p>Get Leadership positions</p>

<p>Work on writing skills</p>

<p>In my opinion, your GPA is the biggest weakness here. You really have to keep that up if you want a shot at those schools.</p>
