UF is my dream school lol so any thoughts would be kewl.
@username753925926 how can you be ranked in only the top 40% with a 3.89 GPA and so many AP’s . something doesn’t add up? not being critical but you are saying you have maybe 3-4 B’s in all of high school … i like your stats alot… outside of the rank… hope you gave UF a good story about that?m . your SAT is off the charts… based on what you shared you look really good to get in
@username753925926 - 25% of students accepted into Honors program last year had perfect scores on ACT/SAT. Acceptance rate was something like 16% overall. We were reminded numerous times that the essay is most influential on their decision. Students read and judge essays. It’s a real wild card so no one can - with any accuracy - predict whether or not you will be accepted into the UF Honors program.
As others have said, the criteria for the honors program is subjective and it appears that the essay is extremely important. It has led to some on these boards to believe that it skews against some STEM students that may not be great at creative writing. That may or may not be true, but it is clear that GPA and SAT stats are only a part of the selection criteria. Therefore, it is not possible for people to chance you.
