Everything is fine except for rank. I am OOS and applying next year and luckily my school doesn’t rank, I know someone who got into CNS for Neuroscience this year with a 30 and lower GPA, probably less ECs too, what I’m saying is you probably have a stronger app. But honestly the rank might hurt your chances, I hate to say it. Is Physics hard to get into? I know its much easier than Engineering, Business and some others. You have a chance, so keep your hopes up tho, Hook Em.

Bless up horns up man

And the thing is, i used to go to an academically notorious high school until the second semester of my junior year and then i moved to still a good school (easier compared to my old school definitely, good compared to other high schools in the country) so my gpa got fucked up at my old school but the second semester of my junior year grades rocked. Because my old school is in austin and ut knows well of its difficulty, I’m hoping that’d help me (I’ve seen people at my old school at top 30-35% with not too impressive standardized test scores get into ut with no problem, ut knows how hard my old school is). Who make me mad are those who cheated and played the gpa game to get into the top 8%. I know it’s not common for people to like physics, but im seriously IN LOVE with it. Like i have the biggest crush on physics, i literally smile unconsciously when i hear the word physics HAHAHAHA. But most of the physics competitions (aka uil science in which i got first place in physics in) and activities that ive done were done this year. So a lot of it is not included in my resume. Not to be haughty, but i know i am good at physics and qualified for it. I hope ut knows too. And thanks!!

Also i’m not sure if the fact that your school doesnt rank will work in your favor. Especially since you are out of state. Still wish you the best luck tho. You will be fine and great

Also i know physics lacks women severely. And i know ut always tries to encourage women to do physics. So im hoping that’d work in my favor
