yea

Literature-550
US History- 650

I think it's a reach...but being a minority may help you although not much..but if you do get in you may find out this week if you're invited to mosaic 09..

Don't worry I'm in the same boat as you...it a reach for me too..

Do you know for sure if vandy takes January sat IIs?

yeah, I called this morning. They said they need to be sent this week.

Truthfully, I think Vandy, Georgetown, Rice, Emory, and NYU are reaches. I know some "URM"s applying to these schools with MUCH higher stats. Remember, the minority status will only carry you so far. In addition, I would imagine if the other "URM" applicants have higher numbers than you, your minority status won't matter a bit.

Oh :( That's no good.

Did you already apply? Vanderbilt sent out invitations to "mosaic" this week - giving selected RD students of color an early answer. If you browse the Vandy thread you can see some of the "stats" of the kids invited/admitted. I would assume some of those kids are your direct competition. Not getting an invite does not mean you were denied. Getting one just means you get to find out early about your Vandy decision. Good luck.
