Chance me for any or all of these and I'll chance back if you leave a link :) Thank you!

Here it is. I'd appreciate any opinions and i'd be happy to chance anyone back. Just leave a link to your thread and i will do. Thanks

I think you stand a great chance of getting into all of those, except Princeton(Ivies are crap shoots for everyone.) If you really want to go to Duke, apply ED; I’ve heard its nearly 30% acceptance rate. You have great ECs, and I think you’ll be fine. Good luck and all the best. Chance me back? Chances at Hopkins ED and RD?

Great chance for Vandy, Tulane, and Wake Forest. Good chance for Emory, decent shot for Duke, and reach for Princeton because there are so many good applicants to that school. Don’t rule that school out though. Good luck!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1175148-chance-me.html</a></p>

@Gustave, I’ve thought about applying ED but if Duke didn’t give some (major) financial aid I wouldn’t be able to afford it and I don’t need to be locked into a school I might not be able to pay for.

I think you’ll be in. ED helps, especially at Vandy, but you’re ACT and GPA are superb! if you were to apply ED somewhere would it be Vandy or Duke?

If you cannot afford the college, your ED is void upon your request–don’t worry about that, colleges are not that ridiculous.

My ACT (34), GPA (4.0), and class rank/size (1/163) were practically identical to yours, and I’m headed to Vandy in August. As everyone else said, I think you have a great shot at getting into every college except Princeton. While you may have strong test scores, be sure to take the other parts of your application seriously. A 34 might be in the 99th percentile, but it’s fairly average at schools like Vandy these days. You’re going to have a fair amount of competition, and it’s going to be your essays and recs that make the difference.

By the way, if you’re applying to Princeton, you’re going to have to take two SAT Subject Tests. Perhaps you’ve taken them already, but it’s very important that you do. They are not only required by Princeton but also recommended by many of the other colleges you’re applying to.

Finally, be sure you’ve taken the ACT with Writing. I didn’t see you mention a writing score, and the writing section is required by practically every top college these days. If you haven’t taken it yet, rest assured that if you end up scoring a lower composite score, most colleges will look at your highest composite score and writing score separately.

Best of luck this year! I think you definitely have a shot at these colleges. Just keep up the good work.

i think you have a good shot at vandy, tulane, wake forest
and your resume seems to be up there for duke and emory

princeton will be tough, i know a couple people who had amazing applications but outright rejection.

but hey it doesnt hurt to try right? overall a great student, youll get in to where you want to go
chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1177104-chance-me-d-duke-rice-hopkins-washu.html</a></p>

@patriotsfan1. If I were to apply ED it would be to Vandy since they are slightly more affordable and they are my first choice, but I don’t want to get locked in if they don’t offer financial aid. and Thank you!

@Porphyria. Its not that I’m in desperate financial need. My family could probably technically afford it but I know I have a full ride offer from my safety school and don’t want my parents to pay $30,000 or more a year when they wouldn’t have to somewhere else.

@ksoc. Thanks for the encouragement! I know Princeton’s a huge reach and I definitely don’t have high hopes or dreams of acceptance. They mailed me so I figured it was worth a shot.

Alright but if they don’t give enough financial aid you don’t have to go, from what I have heard. Talk to your GC/their admissions office

Tulane you’re in easily.
Wake Forest-in
Duke, Emory and Vandy-matches (most likely get in, but not a sure thing)
out of the three I just mentioned, Duke is slightly harder than the other two to get into

Princeton-reach

@patriotsfan. I thought you had to be in dire financial need to get out so I’ll look into that.

@stewta4 Thank you :)

Vandy, Tulane, Emory, Wake you can get accepted to. Princeton - reach. Duke - Low reach

Thanks for the chancing!

Anyway,

Vandy - high match
Duke - low reach
Tulane - don’t know much about :frowning:
Wake Forest - match
Emory- match
Princeton - high reach

I think you’ll do perfectly fine. Obviously, you seem to have maxed out most of your potential that your school offers you. Good luck!

You have solid chances. Scores look gr8 but ECs are the only thing that seem to be slightly lacking (i.e., if they were totally kickass I’d say you’re a shoo in at both places). Plus you’re from Alabama so you have your demographic working for you lol.

Anyways chance me back!!! I don’t have the link lol but go to the Princeton forum (“Chance me!!!”) and/or the College Admissions forum (“Is this list realistic?”) and chance me there lol.

sounds good to me

Vandy - Match
Duke - Low reach
Tulane - Match
Wake Forest - Match
Emory - High match
Princeton - High reach

Your scores, GPA, and rank are great for these schools. Your EC’s are slightly uninteresting, but you do have some that are unique. I think you have a really good shot at all of them except princeton :)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1180315-chance-me-ill-chance-back-give-thoughtful-comments.html</a></p>

your are in at wake and tulane for sure. Duke, Vandy and Emory are all highly competitive schools but you have a good **** at all of them! THen Princeton is a reach as it is for everyone. If you want to go to an Ivy check out some of the lower tier ones like Brown or Cornell.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1181151-please-please-please-chance-me-my-shools-ill-chance-back.html</a></p>

Vandy - High match
Duke - Low reach
Tulane - Match (In)
Wake Forest - Match
Emory - Match
Princeton - High reach

Your scores are right up there, but your EC’s are slightly bland…really emphasize how you have grown by doing them and how they have affected you in your essays.

Chance me back?
