<p>GPA: 3.9 (weighted). Several people in my class have 4.4+ GPAs. I've taken 6 APs thus far (2 in sophomore, and 4 in junior). I've signed up for 4 in senior year.
I had straight A's freshmen and sophomore year, but I dropped to 5 Bs and 2 Cs in Junior year (negative trend). I've taken highest classes available literally.</p>

<p>Academically my school is ranked about 1st in the county, 7th in the state, and 112th in the nation; I'm not sure if that's considered competitive or not.</p>

<p>SAT: 2060 </p>

Model UN = VICE PRESIDENT. Several Awards
Academic Competition = CAPTAIN. Award.

1. What would my chances be for the William and Mary Early Decision? What about Regular?</p>

<p>I'm very aware of the flaws and drawbacks in my application, I'd just wish to get some insight on my chances.</p>

<p>I think you have great leadership although some of the stuff is really cheesy. UVA is a slight reach and William and Mary is a match! You would be a high match at Richmond (near by right?)</p>

<p>Assuming you live in Virginia, you have strong chances at both, I’d say, regular or early. If you’re out of state, W&M is a high match (probably very safe if you ED) and UVa seems like a low reach.</p>

<p>If only your GPA was higher, you would have a great chance at both schools. Your junior grades are atrocious (what happened?). I think you would need to bring up your SAT to about 2200+ in order to compensate for your grades. Strong ecs though</p>

<p>Oh yea I forgot to mention that I am in-state. </p>

<p>As for my junior year grade drop, I’m including an explanation in the additional information section. In short, A friend of mine was very sick (at the time it was potentially terminal). Lots of hospital and ER visits. Lots of throwing up. I was told that she might have limited time left.
This stressed me out and preoccupied me some. That’s not to fully excuse the atrocity of the grades themselves, but I was hoping that it could help explain the drop?</p>
