Unless you’ve attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry or a high school of a similar caliber, your application won’t be considered. We like to think that us muggles have a chance but we have to be honest with ourselves. Even Hermione had to be a freaking international movie actress before Brown University was willing to admit a mudblood. The Ivy Leagues have even rejected pure bloods such as all the Weasleys, except Percy of course who attended Harvard.

Dude, all I’m going to say at this point is that you shouldn’t lose hope. With your impressive resume and grades, any institution - magical (ivy) or not - would we extremely lucky to have you. Stay classy muggle!

Your stats are good, especially your Lit/US SAT II scores. Congratulations on the acceptances you have already, especially Williams! However, your extracurriculars are extremely average for these schools-- debate, band, newspaper and honor society are perhaps the most common ECs. I also can’t tell what your major would be. Due to this, I’d say:

Yale: Reject
Brown: Reject (could maybe be waitlist… or maaaaaybe accept, but highly unlikely)
Cornell: Waitlist (maybe accept)

Best of luck! Chance me back? http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1966406-chance-me-upenn-ed-yale-brown-princeton-etc-will-chance-back-p1.html

The fact you were accepted to Williams (and you are not an athlete) shows you are a strong applicant. You’ll probably get into one of these schools

Thanks for the candor, I appreciate it. I know i don’t have much of a shot

Just out of curiosity, but did you get the interview/learn more session thing with Cornell?

yea, I did a phone interview with an alum

Hey! Congratulations on your acceptances! I would assume you don’t have a highly uncommon prospective major and no great hooks on your application. Your ECs, as people have mentioned earlier, are mediocre, but it depends on your recommendations and essays as to how they depict any ambitious changes you could have brought or how involved you were or how many people you influenced or how many people you touched and took your ideas to or maybe if you completely transformed and expanded the scope of things you took up. Sometimes, impressive looking stuff on CVs are impostures and great work on humble stuff turns out to be more promising. Application reading is subjective and thorough. Readers are experienced, and it is tough to agree when you think you accomplished a lot, but they really know their thing! It is mostly about diversity and good fits. They make good choices for the colleges they represent. At least most of the time.

But, also, under normal circumstances, you might see this
Yale - Reject
Brown - Waitlist
Cornell - Waitlist

No matter what happens, you already have Williams! Don’t bother thinking too much! My decisions have been real disappointing as of now :stuck_out_tongue:

Good luck!

Please, chance me back!

Thanks for your input, do you mind if i ask where you have been accepted and rejected so far?

I haven’t been accepted anywhere so far where I want to go  I applied to only those schools that I mentioned on my thread so only four decisions have come out so far. I was waitlisted at JHU, Caltech, rejected at MIT and accepted to Middlebury (where my teacher forced me to apply and I don’t want to go) God, I wanted MIT sooo bad!!!
