Chance me Georgia Tech? Will chance back!

During second semester freshman year, I was homeschooled because I got really sick, and it affected my grades badly for that semester. If it didn't count that semester my School's Weighted would be 3.93, my UW would be 3.83, and GT GPA would be 3.98. The reason I'm saying this is because the counselor is going to explain it in her common app portion.

UW GPA: 3.77
School's Weighted GPA - 3.86 (adds ten points for AP but doesn't go past 4.0 if grade is above 100)
Georgia Tech Weighted GPA: 3.91

SAT: 2040 (720 M, 670 CR, 650 W)
AP Human - couldn't take as I was homeschooled second semester of freshman year
AP Stat - 5
AP CS - 4
AP Physics B - 5
AP USH - didn't take

Math 2 Subject Test - 770
Physics Subject Test - 740

Senior AP's: AP Gov/APEcon, AP Calc BC, AP Lang, AP Physics C, AP Chem

I took hardest classes offered to me except AP world where I instead took honors world because the counselor didn't want me to take an ap social studies after having a semester of homeschooling

Go to a good feeder school for GT - sends about 30 kids a year; in top five most sent students to GT according to this list on GT's website

Will work hard on essays starting this summer for the ones that are released.

Major: Computer Science

pretty solid chance, work on that sat/act score tho

I’d say you were a match.
Everything you’ve listed places you within Georgia Tech’s range.

Write a good essay and you stand a great chance.

Yeah, get your SAT scores up to ~ 2200, and try to beef up your ECs a little. Also, your UW is quite low, but I think you still have a good chance of getting in .

Chance me back ! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1530629-chances-getting-into-upenn-ed-2018-a-2.html</a></p>

bumpity bump bump

GT in-state - low match

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1525734-chance-me-umiami-any-merit-aid-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

Even with that semester your GPA is within the middle 50%, as is your SAT. You’re a match. If you can improve your SAT, you’ll be a low match, but you shouldn’t feel like you have to take it again, unless you’ve only taken it once.

Middle 50% of students
GPA 3.77–4.08
SAT 1960–2160
ACT 28–32

Good Luck

Thanks so much guys. Yeah I’ve only taken it once and I thought I needed a 2200. I’ll still take it one more time but won’t stress as much about it. Maybe a 2100 will suffice.

By the way, you showed class of 2012’s stats. Class of 2013’s is
Mid-50% GPA: 3.85 - 4.11
Mid-50% SAT: 2000 - 2210
Mid-50% ACT: 29 - 33
Average # of AP/IB/Dual Enrollment classes taken: 6 - 11

bump, with the information above, do i stand a better or worse chance?

You should try and raise the SAT to be at least 2150 to be safe because GT doesn’t recalculate GPA’s anymore so your gpa is what your school sends.
