CMU- Mid-reach
Case Western- Low-reach (depends on major)
UMich- Mid-reach
Northeastern- Low match
Brandeis- Match
UChicago- High reach (it’s tough for anyone)
NYU- Low reach, i’d bet you’ll get in
USC- 50/50. you have a fair chance, can’t categorize it, though</p>

<p>Your GPA is really the only thing holding you back. You have a very good shot at all but the reach schools, like Northwestern & UCHicago. They might take the trend into account.</p>

<p>CMU actually shouldn’t be a reach for you, given the amount of research you’ve been doing. Michigan also should be easy for you to get into. The best thing you can have is the upwards trend on grades; it shows that you are working hard to improve yourself. Also: first gen. That means a lot. I think you’ll be in at Northeastern, NYU, and USC, but I honestly know nothing about CWR. UChicago could be a reach, though. <p>I think you have a good shot at all those schools , its the Gpa that is bringing you down but your testing scores and ECs are great. you have a very good shot if only the Gpa was higher!

<p>Yes, that would roughly put you at a 3.35 UW GPA…
I’m not going to state what many people already have…Your GPA is a bit low.
But it’s not the end of the world. Your EC’s are strong, as well as your ACT score.
Some schools will be turned off by the GPA solely, this is just fact. If your personal statements are excellent, as well as your recommendations…then you should be able to get into a good handful of these schools.
Is there a reason for the GPA? Indicate that on your applications if there is…

<p>Without a doubt, your GPA and your Asian ethnicity (as much as it shouldn’t) will hurt you. However, your ECs are phenomenal, and very well rounded. You come across as a dedicated, enthusiastic, and varied learner, which is something I find incredibly impressive.</p>

<p>I pretty much agree with Galaxialto as far as your chances @ the schools you’ve listed.</p>
