Thanks so much for input!

BUMP! :\ Would like some opinions

Yikes… Bump again!

a final bump… :</p>

Would anyone give me their opinion? :)

I think you have a really good shot at UPenn! definitely go for the EA. I think you would even have a good chance at Princeton, if you would want to go there. If possible, EA to a safety or another school that allows it along with the ED to UPenn to increase your chances at a second school. The only other advice I have is to do plenty of practice for your next SAT to raise your CR score. Good luck!

Thank you for your advice veggiestix!! I have been working nonstop for that October 1 SAT :). Any other chancers please? I’ll chance back

I’d say you have a decent shot at Early Decision to Penn. (-: Get a 700+ on the CR and you’re golden. :)

there is great chance that you will make it. but yes critical reading score is low. And i have never taken biology sat test but isn’t that a little (a little bit only) bit low too.

It is a little low, but it was self taught and it is the third test I took. thankfully, as I am told, the college typically looks at the top 2 scores received. thank you for for input, nonetheless! I’m hoping for an improvement in the CR score on october 1! :). Other opinions greatly appreciated!!

Bump  thank you!

You definitely have a goodchance, and your EC’s are impressive. The only problem is your test score, you have to raise those. Do that and your golden. Goo luck!

Chance me back?

You’re obviously in for UCONN (I live in CT too) & I’d say that you have pretty solid chances at all of the schools. Ivies are tricky, of course, but your stats are stellar! Your testing could be a bit higher for the Ivies. But just get good recs and essays!

Chance me?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1216069-chance-me-i-will-chance-you-back.html#post13246683</a></p>

Boy, your EC is just incredible…

You’re gonna get in anywhere by a longshot methinks…

Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1215711-chance-me-ivy-league-upenn.html</a> Thanks.

I think you have a solid shot at honestly every one of those schools. Princeton will be a crapshoot, you might not be able to get in. I think everywhere else is a go, I would be surprised if you didn’t get ED to Penn. Your test scores are just a little mediocre, but you’ve reached the threshold, so it really shouldn’t affect your admissions decision. I think your biggest problem is your ECs. Don’t get me wrong, you’ve done some great things, it’s just that when you compare them to each other and to your intended major it gets a little confusing. It seems to lack a bit of direction. You have all of these wonderful arts ecs and accomplishments, yet you seem to overlook it etc.etc. The Extracurricular essay (I assume you’re using common app, right?) is going to be essential. You’re going to have to tie all of these things together and then attempt of relate them (somewhat) to your interest in the medical field (I know you write an essay about it, but your ECs don’t reflect it too much (EMPHASIZE THAT INTERNSHIP - its the best thing going for you in this area)).

Your essays sound fascinating, I would just beware of going to sentimental or too depressing. Admins don’t want to hear how horrible something you went through was, they want to hear how you overcame it (maybe just throw in a couple of more subtle yet potent details ad you might have greater affect, a litotal strategy if you will). You definitely seem to have addressed it already, I’m just wanting to re-enforce it. I’d also considering either writing an essay or getting an additional rec to explain your arts involvement etc.

Lots of luck. Care to chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1215821-chance-long-shot-top-schools.html</a></p>

Thank you all so much for the Chances. I appreciate all opinions.
@rsingh13, ellebelle527: SATs this Saturday! Been working consistently on the critical reading and hoping for improvement!!
@TheGrandZion, thank you so much! I value your opinion very much.
@mrspiffy: I wrote my extracurricular essay (in a rather imaginative form) about how the theater lets me detach from the stressful life of academics and seriousness to portray several different types of characters that are all completely different than the academically focused, anxious, and study-nerd that is ME! I am in the drafting process of my CommonApp essay and I will ensure that it isn’t a sympathy story. I really want to show AdComs that it is a passion that has led to me wanting to follow the medical/gastro track at the collegiate level.

Thank you to all opinions! I’ll chance you back in a few! :)
