Pretty much the same response as everyone else- I’m very much jealous of your EC’s! They definitely won’t be holding you back. I realize you don’t have a ton of time left, but raising the GPA some still and class rank would help. Believe it or not, you and I are really similar! I’m also a junior (except in AR), and UT-Austin is pretty much my top school (for business, no less). Michigan may be somewhat difficult, but I don’t see any reason why you don’t have a SOLID chance at any of the others. Maybe we’ll both end of up at McCombs in two years?! Would you chance mine?

Thanks So much! I really love what I do! Any other chances PLEASE

I think you will be a shoo-in for all of the colleges on your list and UVA I think you’ll definitely get in, but I don’t think you’ll get into the Honors Program. Btw your community service—very impressive it will show the colleges your stanch commitment.

I know of people with a GPA around yours that have gotten in prestigious universities. Therefore, you have chances. Your SAT’s will make a difference in their decision. Try to bring up your GPA a little, though. Drop some AP’s and change then for honors classes, if it includes getting a higher GPA. Good luck!

What prestigious schools have people got into with gpa’s like mine?

One of my friends got into Penn State, while another one got into UM. The first one had a 3.6 GPA (kinda close to yours), and the latter a 3.51.

University of Michigan

I’ll chance back

Go for UNC

Why do you say UNC?

Why did you take so many ap’s and risk your gpa. Chapel hill will be a stretch, but it looks like you have a lot of ec’s. Try to get the gpa to 3.6, that should increae your chances of UT.

I needed to challenge myself. My passion for ECs will overshadow my application hopefully. I will try my best

Bump bump bump

I think that if you move your GPA up and make sure your SAT score is north of 2100 for UT Austin (I have a friend applying who got a 2240, and I live in NY) that you’d have a pretty good shot. Fabulous EC’s, just don’t kill yourself with AP’s. They aren’t the end all, although it is nice to have a schedule that challenges you, but wherein you maintain a good, solid GPA.

Chance me back?

That’s very true. Honestly I regret taking 5 ap tests MU junior year

i think you’re a solid candidate; esp with those ECs

return the favor?
