chance me-International student fro India

Thank you.does uc,berkely offer financial aid to International students.

Nope. UC Berkeley does not offer any type of financial aid to international students.

Can anyone tell me some safe colleges?

Reply please

Tell me some safe and matches

For international students seeking aid, there are almost no safety schools (and certainly NO MATCH SCHOOLS). All good colleges are reaches no matter you find the cure to HIV or not.

K thank you

Can anyone chance me on getting into the astrophysics department of the previously mentioned colleges???

Where is Shreya vardan studying now?

Harvard. Hardly surprised. Her achievements reflected those of an EXCEPTIONAL “all-rounder”.

The competition for top schools is even harder for international applicants. For you it’s really up in the air because you don’t know your test scores for sure yet and I think you have to expand more on your ECs and what they mean to you to make you stand out from all of the other people from India with perfect SAT scores.

Thank you,I certainly will expand my EC’s.

Can you guys tell,me some more colleges that are matches and low reaches gor me?I need an astrophysics major .I need financial aid too.

Have a look at these: ( I am not aware of the aid policies of these, though)

  1. Georgia Institute of Technology
  2. University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign
  3. University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
  4. University of Washington
  5. University of Texas at Austin
  6. Purdue University
  7. Rice University
You’ll probably get into all of these.

All of these are reaches for you… Except University of Texas at Austin and Rice University. These 2 would be low matches. :)

Thank you guys.
I have sent you a message CalTechJPL

@CalTechJPL: Considering the fact that the OP has 95 percent or more in 10th, 11th and 12th in the Indian system and considering that he/she indeed does get in excess of 2300 on the SAT, how would these schools be reaches for him/her?

As an international student, you won’t get much financial aid in state universities but you can definitely get aid from private colleges and universities in case you get accepted.

I hate to see di many applicants from India. I wish I was born somewhere else.

That is because these schools are reaches for almost everyone… Match suggests that you have a 50% chance of getting into that college, but in these colleges, nothing can really be said.
