I am a student of 11th standard from Tamil Nadu.I want to know
how MIT selects her candidates.
I mean ,I have 95.7%in my 10th and I expect more than 95%in my 12th too.I am confident that I can score more than 2100 in my SAT test too.I have been selected as the students council president of my school.I have applied for kvpy .I have planned to write international olympiads.
Please tell me my chances in MIT,Princeton and UC.
Please tell me what I should do more..

You have scored very well! I would like to congratulate you for that. As far as the universties are concerned, you can get into them but it would be tough as it is for all applicants. Mention your ECs so that there is a better view presented of who you really are!

Mention your class11 grades too. :)

You need to realize that MIT is full of applicants with near perfect scores and GPA. The adcom even said if they remove the whole admitted class, they can easily have another admitted class with the same qualification. So you do need to try you best in all aspects. High score and GPA are not the only thing they look at. A spectacular EC would definitely boost your chance even with less than perfect scores. Note the acceptance rate is in single digit.

Get yourself a safety! Even Chicago is a reach (for it to be reachable, one needs to pay attention to the prompts)…

But the title may have led me in thinking that you wanted to apply for law school.

I have got 94% in my 11th.I act in plays.I am learning c language and Autocad.I love photography too.I am the president of National Social scheme in my school.I am learning TOEFL.I am good in quizes.I play cricket .But I am not a pro.
What more should I do to increase my chances in these universities?

Those particular schools are very difficult to get in for anyone - even those with a perfect 4.0 and higher grade point average. They are highly competitive. Try for safety schools. You have good stats but I would keep your options open. BTW - my DD was in Tamil Nadu this summer studying dance. She loved it, other than not doing well on the anti-malaria medicine. :)

Can you guys help me in raising my stats?I would love to follow your advices.I want to become an astrophysicist and nuclear physicist .MIT and Princeton seems to be great in them.India does not have astrophysics major in UG.My aim can be achieved only by trying in these institutes.
I have got an award from Dr.Madhavan Nair.
Tamil Nadu’s educational system never gives importance to EC’S.It follows a system that promotes memorising the content and reflecting in the exams.
So this makes students of TN restricted in our own state forever. But I would like to get the best education in the world.
Can you guys help me in raising my stats?I would love to follow your advices…

Can anyone reply?please

In addition to SATs, you will need strong TOEFL or equivalent test results for US college admission. Based on your posts, I’d suggest focusing on your English grammar skills.
