Chance me! Ivies, LACS (Athletic Recruit) - Will chance back!

I think you are qualified for all the schools even if you are not a recruited athlete.

Even the top schools (Harvard, Chicago, Ahmerst etc) will be low reaches for you.

Thanks!:

Thanks y’all!

@BrandeisBoy - I’m defs thinking about ED. I’m not sure if I could do it though, as Yale and Columbia are my top choices, and I’m scared to apply early there, and I don’t want to be committed elsewhere before I know. (even though it’s soooo unlikely.)

Anyone else? :)

All the schools that you say your being looked at as a recruit are easily low matches for you, except UChicago, Williams and Amherst. At these three, your athletic ability may be something that gives you a significant advantage over the rest of the applicant pool. Columbia and Yale are obviously reaches, but everyone says that. I would suggest that you get in contact with the coaches at these schools, as they can help out tremendously. One of my good friends is looking to get into Princeton with stats not nearly as impressive as yours. He is one of the top track runners in my state (NY) and in the nation. Our high school is consistently top 10 for our track and X country programs. If you get in correspondence with the coaches at some of your reach schools and strive to make yourself standout, you should have pretty good chances.

I think you’ll get into most of those! That’s great! Especially with the recruitment. Top colleges are not very easily predicted though.

After reading through this whole thread, I really don’t have much to add! Most of those schools would be matches for you, but of course, as already pointed out, Ivys are unpredictable. Best of luck to you!

Explain to me how you’re taking Calc BC and DiffEqs in the same year…?

My school concurrently enrolls them. It is required to take Diff EQs if you want to take Calc BC. And there are multiple periods of Calc BC at my school, and everyone who takes the AP gets a 5 (probably at least 80 per year). We have a really great teacher.

You definitely have a huge chance, your application is beyond solid! Most ivy leagues are crapshoots, though, so you really can’t predict for sure if it’s going to happen but your chances are definitely up there! Good luck!

You can probably get into most of these schools :)) I would say they are mid reaches…if you werent an athlete!!! As an athlete these are probably low reaches, high matches. Good luck!!!

Thanks all of y’all!! Anyone else? I WILL chance you back!

Just curious as a runner myself, what are your times in your events? :)
