Physics or related engineering field. Wanted MIT since I was little.

Early yet (10th).

1/600+ in mediocre public high school.

All honors. Calc, 1st year physics in 10th, more next year.

Taking APs and SAT IIs--Calc BC/Math 2, U.S. History. Next year physics, maybe chem, maybe English Comp, maybe Spanish. Confident of all 5s/high 700s.

BUT:

Have not made AMC cutoff in two tries.
On bottom of 5 teams on Lehigh Valley ARML.
No EC service or entrepreneurship: Tae Kwon Do black belt, captain of scholastic scrimmage, Lehigh Summer engineering programs for girls, MIT SPLASH, write poetry and fanfic but have entered few contests.

WHY ASK about Lehigh?

Faculty brat. Maybe a slam dunk, but I noticed that they accept only 43-44% with > 1500 SAT compared with c. 48% for 1400-1490.

ADVICE?

Do I desperately need EC? I could get involved, maybe take over, the local Y math tutoring program, but I feel I already have more than enough to do.

Thanks many.
