<p>The colleges I'm most likely applying to are UNLV, FSU, FIU, UCF, University of South Carolina, UMASS-Amherst, and maybe USF. I'm going to be a high school senior graduating in 2012 and I live in FL. </p>

<p>-My GPA is a 3.3 but recalculated it's a 3.6.
-My current ACT score is a 23, but I'm retaking it. This is my first test score.
-My current SAT scores is 1040 (R+M). 1470 (Combined). I'm retaking it again, this is my first test score.
-All my classes are mostly honors and AP.
-I have 150+ community service hours, have planned my own animal supply drive, raised a total of more than $300 for St. Baldricks, and I've entered a Gilder Lehrman Essay Contest on the Civil War.
-I was in Drama for 1 year and was in a musical. I was in Chorus for 1 year. I will be in Book Club for 4 years, FBLA for 3 years, Key Club for 3 years and I've been an officer for 2 years, and I will be in BETA for 2 years and an officer for 1 year. </p>

<p>I think I'm missing something, but this is all I can remember for now lol. =]</p>

<p>Hmm what do you eventually plan to go into, in terms of a field of study? I’m a 2012 hs grad too, so I can give you some advice - albiet shakily. I would say that your test scores are a bit low for most of the schools you have listed, but it was your first try so no worries - yet. Just get those test scores up and I think you’ll have a good shot at most of those schools. Plus, you would give UMass geographic diversity, which might make them overlook some of the “red flags” in your application. Good luck!</p>

<p>You have an abundant number of relatively standard ECs.</p>

<p>GPA is low-average and standardized test scores are quite low.</p>

<p>Get everything up as much as you can and definitely apply to all those schools. I don’t think any of them (Maybe USC and UMAss) would be far reaches.</p>

<p>Consider some safeties, too, though.</p>

<p>Also, are you an URM (Under Represented Minority)? That would be a big boost as well.</p>
