<p>Hi guys! Thanks for doing this, I know how annoying they can be. I will chance back!</p>

<p>First generation to go to college.</p>

<p>Race - Latin-American</p>

<p>GPA - 3.3 Freshman year, 3.6 Sophomore year, 3.7 Junior year (Low in the beginning, but I realized I needed to step up and started doing better)</p>

<p>My school does not rank.</p>

<p>Classes:</p>

<p>9th - Honors English I, Honors Spanish II, Biology, World History, Honors Geometry, Latin I
10th - Honors English II, Honors Spanish III, Honors Chemistry, World History II, Advanced Algebra, French I, Chorus and Art
11th - AP English III, AP Spanish, Physics, AP US History, Honors Pre-Calc, Computer, Comparative Religions and Theater Tech
12th (predicted) - AP English IV, AP Spanish Lit, AP Biology, AP Euro, Calculus (AP?)</p>

<p>Scores:</p>

<p>SAT: Reading-610, Math-580, Writing-650 (My ACTs are the ones I'm sending in)</p>

<p>ACT: English-31, Math-27, Reading-27, Science-25, Writing-29 (I retook these, but haven't gotten the scores back yet)</p>

<p>I know these are reaches, but the rest of the schools on my list are matches so I'd like to see how I'd do with these.</p>

<p>Also if you could, include any schools that you think would be good fits for a Biology major.

<p>whats your rank? and what do you think your new act score is? If they are both excellent, you might want to try ivy leagues because you never know if you can get accepted.</p>

<p>My school does not rank and I’ll have my new scores in a week and a half, but I’m almost positive the composite is in the 30s.</p>

<p>For most people, I would agree with your statement. But you, my friend, are double-hooked, which means you have great chances at all the colleges you listed. (<– You’re an under-represented minority and a first generation college student). </p>

<p>^Because of those two factors, I’d say you’ll get into UNC Chapel Hill, UVA, and VA Tech with no problem. You’re very likely to get into William & Mary, and you’ve got a good shot at USC.</p>

<p>You can apply to a few Ivies, but because of your ACT score, you’re going to have a hard time getting in, although far less hard than others because of your “hooks.” </p>

<p>Remember, though, that financial aid is really important to consider. Look for top schools that give the best financial aid if that’s a major factor in your decision.</p>

<p>Anyways, you’ve got great shots at all schools you listed and will definitely get into at least a few of them. Cheers to a fellow Latino, and good luck! :slight_smile: haha</p>
