Chance me please!

Hello, and thank you for reading this.

I am one of -those- people who constantly worries whether or not I will be able to go to a decent college. So, I resort to posting for people's opinions.

Will apply ED.
Will do interview.

I have stellar letters of recommendations.

What are your thoughts?

Thank you for reading this, I really do appreciate your comments/suggestions. If you have any other colleges you might suggest for this type of "statistics", let me know.

I will be reporting the weighted statistics via Common Application. Is that a problem?

Thanks,

Gabriel

I think you’ll be OK with an improved SAT- = or>1900. Good luck.

Thanks. Anymore chances?

So long as you can bump your SAT up to ~1900, I think you have a very good shot. I’m a freshman now. I got in with a 3.44 GPA (at time of application, 3.37 at the end of senior year) and 2060 SATs. I think you have a very good shot.

Thanks. Anymore chances? I just interviewed and I think it went very well. I’ve also kept in contact with the admissions director, which shows how interested I am in this college.

i think you should be in if you bump up your sats and do really good on your essays and have great recs .

Argh! I was extremely ill on the day of the SATs and was sneezing all over the test! My score was a 1710, a 20 point drop from my original! I am taking the ACT again this Saturday and plan to do better than I did before. A 27 on the ACT is in the 25% quartile, so I still think I can be considered for admission. My interview went well (or so I think)!

In regards to a question I received privately: my high school is in the top 200 Public Schools in the United States and is extremely competitive in my state (Minnesota). Sadly, numerous students take extremely easy courses, leading to a major shift in class ranking (making me the top 30%).

Any more chances would be helpful.

generally they let one of the metrics (class rank/test scores) slide if you’re in range for the other ED. but you’re below on both and not a recruited athlete. i would expect waitlist unless you bring ACT over 28.

If you can retake your SATs again, focus on bringing up a specific area of your testing. If you’re better at math, try to bump up your math score. Better at writing / critical reading? Work hardest on those sections. Remember, you can SuperScore.
