I'm really worried about getting in. I plan to major in japanese, and the only other college that offers it is UF, which i think i have less of a chance of getting into. I have already applied to both and am counting down the days til Dec 14 :)

My case is... kinda unusual, which makes it difficult to tell how high my chances are. Right now i attend an international boarding school in England. I will receive an American high school diploma, but i also took 5 IB classes last yr, though due to a change in the school's schedule setup, i was only able to continue 2 of them this yr. I'm also taking AP Calc this year and all of my other classes were honors. I believe I have about a 3.7 GPA, but that isnt my FSU GPA as i haven't included the IB classes on the 5.0 scale or the honors classes on the 4.5 scale.

As for extracurricular activities, I'm a black belt in tae-kwon-do, have competed and placed in regional and national tournaments for the past 8 years, and have worked as both an instructor and a referee for the tournaments. I also have other things like dance, plays, drama competitions, church activities and services, work experience, and my school's literature magazine.

Also, i am somehow also considered an in-state student as well because my parents still own our house in Orlando, though i'm not sure how this would affect my chances. And i was wondering how big an impact the application essay can have, since i feel more confident about that part of the app than anything else.

I know this is kinda long, but it's pretty hard to explain w/o it getting a bit lengthy. Any opinions on my chances would be incredibly appreciated!! Thank you for ur time :)
