Chance me please!

I'm from a huge school from Illinois. I think ~13 kids per year apply to GW from my school and about half get accepted. The average GPA that is accepted from my school is a 4.08 and a 31 ACT (sorry this post is going to be in terms of ACT and SAT.... us Midwesters).

I have a 4.26 and a 29.
-Editor-in-Chief (I included winning Pacemaker as a staff from NSPA, and then personal first place column writing and outstanding journalist awards from the Indiana University High School Journalism school, which is really just a summer camp, so it's nothing big)
-JV Lacrosse
-Lacrosse Coach for 2 years
-AP Classes: Euro History, US History, Language, Gov't, Literature, Calc AB, Micro, Macro, Psych.

I wrote my common app essay about how I was in Hong Kong over the summer and did like a flashback narrative about a newspaper layout night and I focused on how I had to work on advertising and laying out the Ads onto the pages, since I applied for business.

The two main concerns I have with my application is that I wrote a lot about journalism, 2/4 essays were about newspaper, and the other two just explained why I love DC and GW. I think I conveyed well that my experience on my school newspaper has really built character, but I don't know if they'll care about that if I applied for business.
And then the second worry I have is that my ACT is 2 points lower than my school's average.

Sorry this is really long, but thank you to whoever replies! I really appreciate it.

I think you’re fine. Relax. Though your ECs could be better. A 29 is high 1900’s and the range for GWU is mid 1800s to about 2090 (that’s average). So 50 percent of their students have those grades. Calm down :)
