Chance me please

Hi,

I am applying for summer 2014 term as an international student from the UK

SAT 1650
GPA 3.17 (given by an evaluation of my gcse's)
Lots of sports played for school teams and for clubs, mainly tennis to a high level, but lots of other school sports such a track and swimming.
Paid worked as a tennis coach, bartender and in a financial advisory office in London (all at the same time if that makes a difference)

I can get good recommendations from lots of people including all my bosses and teachers from my 6th form.

Any opinions would be great, thanks.

… got straight out rejected for spring intake.

Applied back in July they took ages to give me a decision and as I am an international student I needed a reply relatively quickly so I could get visa stuff sorted. I emailed them to ask for an update on my status around a month ago got the standard reply asked again the other day and I got an email from someone saying my application has been updated checked myUCF and got denied so now I’m stuck at a boring UK university.

Probably nothing but I feel like they rejected me because I asked them for an update (politely I must add, I am British). Anyone got any thoughts on what I can do now. I was going to reapply for summer but I’m not sure if I can now.

Hello fredpotts, are you still a student? If so, try to get your gpa up to a 3.8 or so (weighted), as I believe your current gpa is the problem. I sincerely doubt that your polite inquiry caused you to be rejected. It can’t hurt to ask about re-applying for summer, but first try to increase your gpa! Best of luck…UCF is a wonderful school!
