<p>I'm planning on taking the SAT again in November. It will be my third time.</p>

<p>Do I have a good chance of getting in?
What can I do to make my chance of getting in stronger this late?
Should I go for early action or regular?</p>

<p>UGA superscores the SAT so it is definitely a good move on your part to retake it. Also, have you tried the ACT? It might be easier for you than the SAT (this has been the case for many people).
Your AP rigor is impressive and that should definitely help.
Is 3.69 your UGA GPA? UGA calculates GPA differently than your school (most likely) and you should see what your UGA GPA is. See here: <a href=“<data:blog.pageTitle/>”>http://ugaadmissions.blogspot.com/2013/11/calculating-uga-gpa.html&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

<p>Otherwise, your GPA is a bit low compared to this year’s freshmen profile average GPA of a 3.83.
I think you may have a 50/50 chance of being admitted. This estimate may raise depending on your new SAT score.
There isn’t much you can do at this point unfortunately. It never hurts to apply EA unless you have very low stats (which you don’t). However, the EA deadline is October 15 so I would get a move on. Chances are you will be deferred in which case, regular decision is not that bad either and you can share with them your ECs and teacher rec.</p>

<p>I just calculated my UGA GPA and it is pretty low, it’s 3.45.
My weighted GPA is 3.69.
I talked with my counselor and she said all my classes this year will count toward HOPE, because all my elective courses are science. Does this work the same way for UGA as well? My electives are AP Psychology, AP Computer Science, and Anatomy.
I calculated what UGA GPA I would have if I were to get all raw A’s this semester (if my electives count toward UGA GPA) and it came out as an 3.6.
I am going to guess that this (my 3.4) will increase my chances of just getting denied instead of getting deferred, if I apply Early Action.
Should I still go for EA? </p>

<p>More EC
*Places I have volunteered at/community service:
Second Chance Boutique (an organization that works against domestic violence)
My school library for two years
My church
Taekwondo school (looking after the smaller kids or holding the breaking boards)
Operation Christmas Child ( an organization that sends shoe boxes filled with gifts to children all over the world )
A soup kitchen
Picked up trash around a neighborhood</p>

<p>*I have went on a mission trip with YWAM (Youth With a Mission)
basically what we did on the trip was community service, worship, and evangelize. </p>

<p>Should I include my achievements from middle school or do they not care?</p>

<p>I meant to say 3.69 is not my weighted UGA GPA.
It’s 3.45. Woops.</p>

<p>Also, I got a 4 on the AP Lang exam, if that helps any.</p>

<p>Generally all classes count towards HOPE and UGA will calculate GPA based on courses listed on your transcript so this won’t be a problem.
A 3.4 won’t necessarily get you denied EA but it could very well get you deferred. If you want to show more of your personal strengths such as your ECs, teacher recs, and essays, then I would consider applying regular instead.
Also, study hard for the next SAT! Sometimes this makes a HUGE difference between rejection/acceptance. </p>

<p>Also, don’t include anything from middle school unless it was an ongoing activity or achievement into high school (e.g. starting a business, frequently traveling the world, working somewhere, etc.)</p>
