<p>i've been having a lot of second thoughts about journalism, and i am thinking about changing to social work to possibly become a psychotherapist. this was not a random change, i always kind of wanted to do it. i know umd college park is a reach and doesn't have a social work program. is university of maryland baltimore also a reach here? i heard they have a good social work program.</p>

<p>FYI, University of Missouri@ Columbia has one of the best journalism schools in the country.....Good to know they are looking to diversify geographically; You were extremely fortunate to be accepted....</p>

<p>Probably a slight reach, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if you got in. You look like a strong all around applicant and you have a lot going for you. I actually think you are more likely to get in than not. Good luck!</p>

<p>Mizzou is top 3 for journalism, along with Northwestern (Medill) and Syracuse (Newhouse). If you want journalism, Mizzou is the best.</p>

as for marist i didnt apply but according to your sat scores and average gpa its close but you should get in. good luck!!!</p>
