Chance Me Please?

I'm a junior and I wanted to know my chances. I've taken all honors classes throughout my high school career with the exception of AP US History and AP Art History. I have a 3.6 GPA, 1840 on SAT (I'm taking them again), 29 on ACT (taking them again so I can crack 30), and 630 on the US History Subject Test. I've also been named both Field Hockey and Lacrosse captain for my senior year, and possibly looking to play lax in college (4 year varsity player). I'm mixed race (black mom, white dad), and work as a camp counselor. I hope this is enough information to chance me. Thanks!

You are right around the average of what gets accepted. I would try to get 30+ on ACT and closer to 2000 on SAT. If your test scores stay the same I probably would not send SAT as the 29 ACT should be looked at better than the 1840 SAT. I would start a conversation with the Lax coach NOW. Even if you don’t end up playing, since you are able to get accepted without admissions help the Lax coach can ensure admissions knows you are an athlete without using their tips. (coaches usually can get admissions help on a few kids that normally wouldn’t get admitted).

I would try to add a few ECs and one of the most important things I have read about Conn Coll is that in the admissions process to ensure they know YOU WANT TO GO TO CONN COLL. There have been a lot of reports of them denying kids that were qualified but they thought were using Conn Coll as safety schools.
