ooops my bad,

SATS: 610 math, 590 writing, 510 CR
^ i know not that great =/

I would say reach based on your SAT scores.

ah do SATs really matter that much?

If I’m not mistaken, the business school wants a minimum of 1300 SAT score with Cr+Math. but you never know. good luck! (UM engineer)

You could apply (not to business) to a less selective school within the university and try and transfer from the school to the business (not sure though)

Also, you have a good GPA but avg sats. If I were you, I’d look at schools w/ test optional policy [Optional List | FairTest](ACT/SAT Optional List - Fairtest) for more info

Please chance me [Optional List | FairTest](ACT/SAT Optional List - Fairtest)

i’m a terrible test taker, i’m hoping it’s not that big of a deal! thanks though =/
is it possible to not get into the business school, but still be accepted to umd somehow else? (ie. arts school or something)

If you’re not accepted into the business school, you could be put in Letters and Sciences. Based on how you do the first year, you could transfer in to the business school (it’s harder than it sounds because college takes a lot of self-discipline to do well). What else could happen is you get on the spring semester. This is something dumb that UM should get rid of because students are not given housing the fall semester and only get housing during the spring. PM if you have anymore questions.

Kean University is in NJ. That implies you are OOS from NJ.

Your SAT and lack of APs hurts.

UMD is also going to look at the course curriculum of your school. 1 AP means that you didn’t take the hardest courses available.

That being stated, nobody here sits on the admissions board, there can be something in your application that you think is trivial, but they want from a diversity standpoint.

You have 100% of not getting in if you don’t apply.

Good luck.
