I'm going to volunteer all summer so I'll get it up to 200-300 hrs and I'll be taking leadership next year so that adds a lot of hours.
SATs and ACT cores are coming soon.

im not sure how many AP’s your school offers, but take a lot of them… i have about 7-10ish on my application and i got into UCSD, with a 1860 SAT I
however, my GPA was extremely high- 4.25
umm take as much of those UC accepted courses- the ones that are “college prep”

write spectacular essays- literally spend time on it… either reading, proof reading, giving it to someone and asking questions… just continue to improve your essays… now that i think about it… i want to know how UCSD liked my essays ;)

you can still take SAT/ACT again [since you are a junior] but immensely improve each time…

have some E.C. that has somee regard to your major… but keep other E.C.'s unique and different. that shows something about you as a person or an individual…

if you ever have questions about the app process feel free to ask me… i just went through a great long 5 months waiting for my results and im so happy i got in!!

First off thanks for replying. Im planning on taking 3 AP classes next year (Bio, Spanish, and Econ) and 1 extra weighted class: AMA. And yeah all the classes I have taken and will take Ive made sure theyre UC accepted.

Essays are crucial Ive heard so Im planning on focusing on them. Thanks for the heads up.

SAT plan on getting 1900< : took them earlier this month.
ACT plan on getting higher then a 30.

And I will ask if I need anything else:)

(p.s. I also plan on applying to UCI and USD)

just a small suggestion, I think you should apply to all the UCs.

I had always wanted to go to UCD or UCB but in the end I picked SD, which I never considered in the beginning and I only applied there also just in case.

You never know what will happen so it is best to make sure that you have all the opportunities you can get

sorry if u already know this info. UCSD picks applicants on a point system and I remember looking at a better list of how they award points, but if my information is inaccurate or out of date (and it shouldn’t be as I just went through the app. process) sorry.

you have really good stats! what are you putting in as your major this fall? also, work on those essays this summer! but, you have a really good chance!
