  • JV Baseball (only have JV team) captain/MVP
  • 5 years working in one store, now inventory manager
  • Class rep 11th grade
  • Volunteered as data entry for Obama campaign
  • Did lighting board work for plays + concerts 11th/12th grade
  • did travel internship for non-profit over this summer
  • Model UN
  • TA’d for philosophy class
  • 1 summer program
  • Helped write some educational videos with my teacher
  • some other minor stuff</p>

<p>Essays: I think they’re really good, one person who was connected to brown said it was one of the best they’ve ever read (That person has read A LOT of essays)</p>

<p>Recommendations: Should be very good, the principle wrote one for me.</p>

<p>Also, I’m white.</p>

<p>School has big core curriculum, not many elective slots or APs available. Only got B’s on a couple of trimester-long art/media courses in 9th grade, and 9th grade science. School is tiny, not many EC opportunities either.</p>

<p>If someone who used to work as an admissions officer there sent an email to the head of admissions saying to look out for my application- how much would that help? (Idk if it will)</p>

<p>You have a good chance just like many other qualified applicants. Also just had to point out, it’s principal not principle :)</p>

<p>If that someone used to work in admissions, they would be the one who knows the answer to your questions. But admissions officers ‘look’ at all applications submitted, you know.</p>

<p>Obviously its a subtle method of recommendation.</p>
