I would say you have an ok chance, b/c your critical reading is kind of low, even though your math and writing sections seem great! Your ECs are fine, and you’re in the top 10% which is always good. I would say out of all of those colleges, if I had to pick, i would say you have the largest chance for UCLA. But again, I’m just another student chancing you, so don’t let what others say make you upset. Keep believing!

You say you’ve been accepted at UGA & Georgia Tech “early decision”. ED is a legally obligating agreement. Did you apply ED or merely early action?

Assuming you meant early action I think that CT score may haunt you at the other schools on your list. Realistically they are some form of reach.

Your ECs are great and your GPA is also pretty awesome. Your class rank isnt phenomenal but because it seems that youre at a really competitive school it shouldnt be too much of an issue and some universities are starting to care less and less about class rank because ultimately its an unfair thing to base admittance on. Id say the only thing that seems to be an issue with getting into those schools would be your CR score which isnt too bad considering your other scores are great; of course, some schools dont really care about the writing score.
Ill get down to the individual schools:
Cornell- maybe
Johns Hopkins- maybe
University of Chicago- reach
Rice- maybe
Emory- maybe
Washington University in St Louis- reach
UCLA- probably
UC Berkeley- maybe

Id say you have a good shot at most of the places your looking at. Cornell U Chicago and Wash U you most likely have the lowest shot at. If you get a higher CR on your SAT you should have a much higher chance at all those places. Thanks for chancing me also.

Good chance everywhere except U of Chicago, Cornell, & Washington because those schools are a crapshoot even WITH a higher critical reading score, which at the moment you lack. Up the CR and you have a better chance at those top schools. Best chance at UCLA, lowest @ UChicago. Nice Ec’s.

I would say you have VERY good chances at all of your schools. If you wrote good essay’s and interviewed well, I would be surprised if you didn’t get into 90% of those schools

I’d say you have a good chance at most of the schools. Cornell might be harder due to CR score/rank (which may be mitigated due to the competitiveness of your school), but the rest seem well within your reach.

I think this thread has more bad advice than any other I’ve seen here. The OP has a 580 CR score. This will make top schools all but impossible. Most coaches can’t get a quarterback into a top school with a sub 600CR score.

Kids from more competitive high schools have a higher bar, not a lower one.
