Hello all, I’m currently a student at UT-Dallas and have just finished my freshman year of school as a political science major. I’m interested in Texas A&M, particularly for its superior name value in Texas and its division 1 athletics.

Here are my stats:
Hours completed: 28
GPA: 3.37~3.5ish the way my university calculates it (waiting on a grade or two)
GPA: 3.56 the way Texas A&M calculates it
high school GPA: 3.3 UW 3.8 weighted (at a very prestigous high school)
SAT (taken once in high school): 1730 (1200 Math + Reading)
Extracurriculars: I’ve been involved in 2 organizations at UTD, done a little bit of volunteer work, and will work as a supplemental instructor for the university for a government course next semester.

Hello!
I think you will get in. A&M does have a very good political science department . I knew someone who had a 3.6 and got in with a bunch of internships and such.
