Chance me UChicago, Columbia, Yale, Georgetown & more (will chance back!!!)

UChicago-high match/low reach
Columbia-low reach
Yale-mid reach, but SATs are a little low ):
Georgetown-low/mid match
wow, you have AWESOME ec’s, i’m impressed (:

hi !
Ur chance is really good for columbia : I could say that it’s almost a match for a student of your caliber ! Don’t sweat too much about ur SAT math scores, it even shows how laser-targeted you are. Remember, the word “well-rounded” is not as powerful as many people used to believe in terms of admission…
Hm… bother to chance me back ??

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1248301-chance-international-ivys-top-lacs.html</a></p>

What is “match”?

unhooked applicant

yale: less than 5% chance
columbia: less than 10% (ED) and less than 5%(RD) chance
chicago: less than 10% (EA) and less than 5% (RD) chance
gtown sfs: less than 10-15% (RD) chance

you might have “better” chances at chicago with great essays.

good luck to you and i hope you get into u chicago.

Great Chances!! You never know these days, but I’d say you’ve done all you could have. Good luck!

Extremely strong EC’s, you definitely have high chances at all! Yale and Columbia might be low reaches given your SAT scores, but I think you still have a great chance of getting in. Definitely in at Georgetown.

Possibly chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1251522-chances-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

Regarding your question about attaching a separate activity sheet:
Definitely send in a separate resume/activity sheet. The CommonApp is just terrible for trying to summarize ECs. I sent my neatly organized activity sheet around to a few private college advisers and they all commented on how impressive it looked. My ECs are good, but not nearly as a good as they looked on there (and even good ECs can fail to be appropriately conveyed in the CommonApp’s deplorable activites section).

Random tip: put a picture of yourself at the top of your activity sheet while you are doing something that is reflected below (mine is of me serving at a soup kitchen, for example)–helps colleges put a name to a face, and my WashU interviewer commented on how more memorable my resume would be.

Good luck!

Great resume. Just about any college in the united states is within reach for you! However while your Ecs, Class rank, Gpa are all great, i would recommend retaking the Sat. While a 2110 is a great score for all schools other than Ivy leagues, according to my personal knowlede and this link ---- [Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut - Cappex](Cappex) ------- alot of people with the same credentials as you face rejection from Yale. A few more points and im sure you will be in However. As for the other 3 schools you listed, im sure you will be accepted into them!! Good luck and thanks for Chancing me !!!

As long as you get that SAT math up, enjoy UChicago!

Your scores and course load are up to par but it seems like your extracurriculars are not consistent. Many of them you started in the last year or two… that might hurt you cause they like seeing you stick with the same activity from freshman year till now. Good luck!

Scratch that… I got confused and saw past the 9-12 for some of the clubs… you’re good. Esp for Georgetown and UChicago.

I think you got a good chance for all. Just make sure you show them that you got something in your head besides just getting good grades. They like people who think for themselves. If you show them you’ll do great no matter what situation your in, they will want you at their school. Good luck.

I would say Yale is a reach, although it is a reach for nearly everyone. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get in, as they deny kids with near perfect resumes. I would say Columbia is a good match, your real only low point is your SAT, which isnt very far off at all, if anything.
You are a match for everywhere else.
Everyone please chance me!! thanks

From what I can see, you have a decent chance at the schools you have listed. Your extra-curriculars have a clear focus (not scattered across everything) and I think your passions are quite obvious. Of course, as other have mentioned, these top schools can be a bit of a crapshoot, but hey - go for it! You have back-ups that you’re (hopefully!) happy with, and in the end of it all you are going to end up where you need to be.

I think that the ivies are going to be a reach for you because of your SAT, but you still have an okay chance.

Chance me back please?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1246909-chances-cal-poly-ed-engineering-major.html</a></p>

historian17 - What’s the secret to how you improved your math score so much? Lol, you have no idea how envious I am.

I think definitely Georgetown and most likely UChicago… Columbia and Yale are pretty unpredictable but you are definitely a well qualified applicant and I’d be suprised if you got rejected. I think Yale is your biggest reach.

It seems like you’ve worked very hard throughout highschool and it will definetly pay off no matter where you go. Good Luck!!!

Good chances at all of those schools with those ECs, especially if you can raise your math and get a 2200 or jigher. Good luck to you!!

I would say you have a great shot at all of these except for Yale, but only because its Yale. I would be surprised if you got rejected from the other ones…

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1252493-what-my-chances.html</a></p>

You have a very good chance of UChicago and Columbia, but maybe not Yale. Definitely apply early to at least one of them! You’re right in that you definitely need to retake the SAT, but since your weakest point was math, you should have a good chance of bringing up your grade. Good luck!

Your math shouldnt be an issue for your schools. Since you want to be an international law major, you are perfectly fine with strong skills in english and writing, which is needed for the major you want to do. Your scores and gpa are stellar and can’t get better.

I think Columbia is a low reach for you, Upenn is a low reach for you, and Yale is a low reach/reach for you (only because yale is insanely hard to get into).

Georgetown is a high match for you and UChicago is a high match for you.

Good luck with admissions and please chance me back, THANKS
