CHANCE ME: UMass Amherst

I'm a female senior in NY applying to UMass as my #1 choice. I have roughly a 3.7 GPA (90.5), an ACT score of 27 and I am ranked 104 in a class of 320+ students. This year I'm taking 3 AP's (Calc, Physics and Gov) and last year I took 3 (US, English and Pre Calc) I will be taking the SAT in November and applying to UMass via early action. Recently I've been freaking out about getting into the school as my grades dropped a little the last quarter of my junior year, although I am determined to come back strong this first quarter of my senior year. What are my chances of getting into UMass?
(Plus I have been involved in numerous school clubs, volunteer work, I have a job and my junior year I was inducted into the National Honors Society)

UMass Amherst: Low match

What’s your problem with Stony Brook, UAlbany or UB?

You’re totally in for UMass, you’ll have an even better chance if you raise your ACT to a 28/29. A lot of kids from my school go to UMass with worse stats than you (like 3.2 gpas) and some even manage to get scholarships. If you manage to bring up your ACT a couple of points I’d also really having a strive school like Northeastern to apply early for or maybe even simmons or suffolk. I think you’d have a chance at those. As long as you write good essays.

if you don’t mind chancing me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1683403-how-to-improve-to-get-into-umich-georgia-tech-northeastern-ucsd-and-more.html#latest

low match as in low chances? used to live in both Albany and Buffalo and not interested in going back, haven’t looked much into stony brook.

Low match: 60-80% chance to get in

Try Fordham or other schools at that level… unless you want to major in computer science, in which case UMass Amherst is just fine.

what if my major is undeclared? that’s what I’m planning on doing
