I agree. I think it’s about average for what WashU accepts from my school.
@photo2 and @Novacat9191 lol lesson learned — maybe my child’s school has grade inflation - the average weighted average for Wash U is 103… I guess best to compare to others in your school!
At my school, you cannot get over 100 weighted gpa.
I think theoretically you could mange to get over 100 at my school but I’ve never seen anything on Scoir over a 100. Valedictorian is typically right around 99 and above a 96 would put you in the top 5%.
That is why when we get to the decision dates you will see lots of complaining on the boards about why someone with 8 APs and a 3.9 got accepted and they got rejected with 12 APs and a 4.4. Rigor and GPA are both school specific metrics and with rigor you get the added dimension of how “AP” your schools AP classes are. Do students actually take the exam? Do they get 4s and 5s or 2s and 3s???
