Hi! I am currently a senior in high school and am applying Early Decision to William and Mary! I wanted to have a few opinions on whether or not I have a chance of getting in, so here are my credentials:
School: in Northern Virginia (I am a VA resident and qualify for in-state tuition)
GPA: 3.956
Course rigor: I have a total of 10 AP classes and 8 Honors classes from throughout high school!
Test scores: SAT (2400)- 1670 (I retook the SAT earlier this month and I am awaiting the results!)
Extra curricular activities:
-142 hours of volunteer work (and more to come!)
*100 volunteer hours came from working at a primary care physician’s clinic
*20 hours came from working at a nursing home
*20 hours came from coaching volleyball
*I plan to work with my English Honor Society as a tutor for children at a homeless shelter for at least 8 hours
-28 hours of leadership experience (I was the coach of a volleyball team and a freshman mentor at school)
-part of the band for 4 years (marching band for 1 year, got a varsity letter!)
-National Honor Society (2 years), National English Honor Society (1 year), Tri-M Music Honor Society (3 years)
Transcript: My GPA is not as high as I wanted it to be because in my sophomore year, I was hospitalized during finals week and was unable to take my finals (not sure how much that info helps, but I am planning to add it to my application)
-I plan to major in Biology/Health Science, or maybe Pediatric Neurology
It would be really nice to get some feedback on this! Thanks so much!
