journalism teacher (and newspaper advisor 10th, 11th, 12th): loves all her journalism students
physics teacher (11th and 12th): good but nothing special

Thanks so much in advance!

i think you’ve got a good shot, but just be sure to get that reading score up. you’ll want to submit the other scores. also, does your school rank? i think bowdoin cares more about the rank than your gpa if the school does in fact rank. finally, go with the teacher recs written by people who love you. sounds like you have two who already do. good luck!

My school doesn’t rank, but they send a class profil that breaks down the top 25% and top 50% and so on. I don’t rank very high on that though because a lot of kids at my school take “easy aps” or manipulate their schedules to get easy teachers, so their gpas are significantly higher than mine. I am worried that my history and english teachers will write very similar things and that Bowdoin would want to see what my science teacher has to say. I was considering writing to them and asking them which letters they wanted and sending those. Also would you recommend I send the journalism letter? Also, what other scores should I submit?
