Chance me?

I am a junior who is looking to apply to Wellesley College.
GPA
UW: 3.49
W: 5.08
Class Rank: Top 10th
SAT (first time, will take again): 2030
Involved in many ECs, 8 clubs, leadership roles in each--revived 2 clubs that had disbanded previously. In 2 Honor Societies. Played 2 varsity sports, on a freshman team my freshman year, joined another athletic team recently. Worked 3-4 days a week. Volunteer at summer ecology camp and at Salvation Army. School Newspaper editor, extremely dedicated. Worked on various independent projects. Artist, have sold my work. Musician, not extremely talented but capable pianist and flutist. Recreational writer and blogger. Participant in NYLC conferences, related political/youth in government activities.

I'm confident that my essay will be strong, I plan to interview, and I have faith that my recommendations will be strong as well.

Thank you!

You sound good to me. As long as your SATs are above a 1950, you’re in the middle 50% range. They will eat up your ECs, and get working on your essay!

Good luck!

You’re in a decent position, but admissions is getting really difficult. The average ACT for the class of 2018 was a 32 (what I got) and SAT is around 2170. I’d recommend retaking it and breaking the 2100 barrier (that’s what I had to do) or giving the ACT a try. Also try to improve your GPA to 3.6/3.7 if you can. It’s doable. Best of luck!
