I have an interesting situation
2170/1480 SAT
800 Math2
690 Chem
Gpa uw 2.9
National merit semi
Asian
200k+ family income

I have soccer, cello, leadership, volunteer work. Basically everything is solid and good besides my gpa. I took all AP and honors and obviously overwhelmed myself. Is there still a chance for me? Is 3.0 a cut off point? I applied to CAS

Likely referred to CGS, if you chose that option.

Is cgs considered a “lesser” school than the others?

I wouldn’t say it’s “lesser” of a school, but it’s definitely easier to get into because it emphasizes General Studies (hence the name lol) for the first 2 years and then you can transfer to other BU schools. Not a bad option in my opinion.

You get in to CGS, and after 2 years you enter a school and declare your major. Being in CGS won’t affect your diploma at all :slight_smile: Good luck
