I know for a fact that my stats would be a far long shot if my major were some kind of engineering, but what are my chances if my major is Nutrition (College of Agriculture)? Please chance me! Thanks

Your Stats are around the average for Fall 2014 Freshman. The approximate acceptance rate for Nutrition is 27% so I would say your chances are 50/50. Good Luck.

@Gumbymom‌ Thank you for your feedback! Where did you get the information that the acceptance rate for Nutriton is 27%? :open_mouth:

On one of the SLO discussion posts, a CC poster had a link for the projected acceptances for each major. I used that information to calculate the acceptance rate. I believe chancing anyone is more a game than anything else. Take it with a grain of salt.

Yeah I agree with Gumbymom! You have a good chance, but it’s a tough major to get into! Good luck!

You have a competitive sat score. If u don’t apply engineering program, then your chance would be 80%. Cal Poly is not hard to get in at all and it cares a LOT about your SAT and GPA. The average sat score is 1700.

I think you have a good shot; 75% chance

Your gpa and SAT are at a comfortable place for this school’s average accepted people’s scores, so that’s good. In addition, the fact that you’ve held leadership positions and have worked a lot will strengthen your application to above average. It’s too tough to give an exact percentage, but I would say that you have a strong chance of getting in.

Sorry to piggyback off your post, but could I get chanced as well? I’m also a nutrition major.
Cal Poly GPA: 3.85
ACT: 33, (32 for math(30)+reading(33)
3 APs and 3 honors classes. Thanks in advance!

@shiftyloo11‌ I’d say you have a pretty good chance considering your ACT score. Good luck to us Nutrition majors… Except more luck to me (I have less impressive stats).
