...................... I think I'm pretty solid its just my GPA that kind of scares me

Quincy is right, except Stony Brook is definitely down there with the Mega Safety. Plus, I personally think you're in at MSU and PSU, but I have seen people with similar stats gets rejected. I wouldn't be so quick to throw those into safeties. I would apply early to Rice, MSU, and PSU just to cover all the bases. Congrats, you seem to have done really well.

if you're applying to rice/baylor, then it is definitely not a match (it isn't for anybody). i doubt the other bs/md programs can be used as safeties because the majority of programs are reaches for everyone.

"Stonybrook is def not a mega safety. I know people on this forum w/ excellent stats who got rejected from there. Same goes for UMKC"

Yes, I do. Honestly, they may have been rejected because they were overqualified and the university knew there was no way they would accept the offer. I am not trying insult you, as it seems you may have attended one of these schools. They are not well ranked, especially by usnews, and their admission numbers are not impressive. Anyway, if you're happy with going to Stonybrook or UMKC then more power to you.

you'll definitely make penn state. i dont know about the other programs, but penn state definitely accepts overqualified students. out of 65 who are accepted only like 30 or less actually go...

I understand that they are not well ranked, but for everyone I've seen apply it hard to get in. Maybe your right, and everyone I know was overqualified.

I never heard of ANYBODY being overquilified for BS/MD program at ANY school - either highly ranked or totally unknown state undergrad. Competition at more known programs far exceeds IVY's. I am talking about 800 applicants for 15 spots as an exmple. Some others are facing lower competition, but still pretty tough. Keep in mind that average students do not apply to these programs. Very high % of those 800 were valedictorians and perfect or close to perfect scorers with huge number of hours of medically related ECs and other ECs like sports, leaderships,....etc.
