High School: Clear Lake High School in Houston
G.P.A.: 3.77 out of 4.5 (basically out of a 5, but my school caps it off at 4.5); graduating in the 2nd quartile.
S.A.T.: 1940. Re-took it again this October.
A.C.T.: 30
Extra-Curricular: a lot

Well then, after looking at my atrocious stats, what are my chances of getting in?

It going to come down to a breakdown of your SAT/ACT components for academic-admit. See below. What’s your Math/English ACT?
If you don’t have the #'s for academic, I think you have a very good chance as a Review Admit.

Academic Admits

Applicants qualify for automatic academic admission, if:
they are ranked in the top quarter of their graduating class, and
achieve a combined SAT Math and SAT Critical Reading score of at least 1300 with a test score of at least 600 in each of these components; or achieve a composite ACT score of at least 30 with a test score of at least 27 in ACT Math and ACT English. Students must take the writing component of the SAT and/or ACT in order for the test score to be considered, and
have successfully taken all recommended coursework, and
ensure all required credentials are received by the freshman closing date.

Yeah, I did hear about this automatic admit thing at A&M where if you have at least a 1300 on the S.A.T. on the Math and Reading and you’re graduating in the first quarter of your class, then you’re automatically admitted. I qualify for half of that: I got a 610 on the Reading and a 650 on the Math, but I’m not graduating in the first quarter. But I think I qualify for the A.C.T. one because I got a 30 composite score with a 33 in Math and a 30 in Reading. Does this mean that I’m automatically admitted?

You just need to get in the top quarter and then yes you will be an automatic admit with your ACT score

So as of now, I’m not an automatic admit into A&M.

can u get into the top quarter after 1st semester?

no johnsyed im sorry you aren’t
but if your school ranks again after the 1st semester you could become an automatic admit
