Chance my brother for Columbia ED, UChicago EA, UPenn (probably Wharton) ED?

I know these are very prestigious "reach-for-everybody" schools, but these are my brother's top 3 choices. He wants to study economics, finance, and/or math and become a trader or hedge fund investor. He'll probably apply UChicago early and one of Wharton or Columbia ED.

Asian dude, TX resident, current high school junior

GPA: 3.98/4.00 (11 AP's + 1 Community College class by graduation)
SAT: 2280 (Math-800, CR-750, W-730)
SAT II: Math level 2-800, Spanish-750, will take Chem, USH and Lit in June

AP Scores thus far: European History-5, Spanish-4, Macroecon (self-studied)-5

EC's:
Accomplished Sax player (all-district 3x, all-state 1x, more nice state performance awards, committed member of 2 ensembles)
Boy Scouts: (Eagle Scout with 1 palm, lots of leadership, 3 major summer treks)
Cross Country: (likely) co-captain senior year, nice regional finishes
...and some more minor club memberships that i don't think will help his app out at the caliber of the listed schools

Assume teacher recs, essays are great

What are his chances of getting into one of the 3 listed schools?

He still needs a few non-reaches like NYU Stern…

The rest of his list is this:
Harvard
Princeton
MIT
Stanford
Duke
Vanderbilt
NYU Stern
UMich Ross
TAMU*
UT Austin*

bump bump any suggestions

Being Asian really is a bummer nowadays for all the northeastern schools, which are accustomed to humongous amounts of asian applicants. If I were him, I would ED Wharton and EA Uchicago since UPenn’s early admissions rates are a little more lenient than Columbia’s. That being said, these are all elite schools and it’ll be difficult for anyone, including him, to get into any of those top-20 schools!

Also, if he has a good relation with his Troop head, he should ask him for a rec.

Does the fact that I attend one of these schools help him out? Or does legacy only help if your parents went?

Siblings are not considered legacy
