Chance of getting into UMich?

-Appying to CoE for Civil Engineering as a freshman for Fall '12.
-Race: Asian
-Gender: Female
-Non-Resident (Wisconsin)
-ACT: 30-Composite. I think 30 in math, 27 science, not sure of the other sub-scores.
-GPA: 3.35 unweighted (have taken vigorous math and science courses)
-Senior Year Courses: Intro to Engineering & Design (considered to be an advanced class), Principles of Engineering (also an advanced class), AP Calc AB, Composition 12, Adv. Physics, Contemporary Lit, American Gov't & Politics.
-Awards: earned Critics' Choice and Ensemble Awards at a State One-Act competition
-Weak ECs: very involved at church (volunteer Sunday school teacher, youth group, Student Leadership Team, volunteer activities, mission trips). Involved in Heart Club (a diversity group) as a freshman.
-Application Essays: strong
-Teacher Recommendation: Good.

What are my chances? I'm thinking it's quite a stretch.

Bump… replies would be appreciated! :)

Bump. 10 char

Right, I’m assuming that you did not apply EA, or you were deferred. I would say low reach, what is your weighted GPA? Because it is a little low for U of M, and but your ACT is average to low-average. I think you have a shot.

I think it’s a bit of a reach for you. They weigh GPA more than standardized tests from what I have read

Weighted GPA would be about 3.76. I didn’t apply for EA and wasn’t deferred. Thanks for your input!

Your chances aren’t great. GPA is extremely important to the University of Michigan, and yours is very low.
