Chance please (will chance back)!

I am pretty much on the verge of an A- but my college advisor sees me more as a B+ student. Is Bowdoin a good match for me? If not, suggestions?

 • Piano: been playing the piano since i was 4. Followed the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum, which was just introduced in NYC this year, so im one of the few kids in the city doing it. I have great recs, one from my french teacher who told me she “got someone into Yale”…and I love English and writing and it is my favorite subject, so essays shouldn’t be a problem.

bump…?

Try looking at Bates or Colby. They’re similar to Bowdoin in a bunch of ways, but they might be more easily achievable for you.

Are you kidding me? I think you are definitely Bowdoin material. You are worldly and you have a lot of good experiences. Your SAT scores are ok but if you could get them a little higher maybe that will increase your chances in getting in. Overall, I think you are a well rounded student, which is what Bowdoin is looking for. DO not let anyone discourage you from applying to you dream school. I say go for it 100%
