I applied for an out of state public school. My final transcript is 2As, 1B, 1C in government, and 1D in a pre calc class that is an extra year of math. I got a C- in that class first semester. Is there a big chance my acceptance would be revoked? :((

Has your GPA dropped significantly? You haven’t failed any classes, and did well in 3, so that is a good sign. It really depends on what grades they saw when they accepted you. A slight slip in grades will not get your acceptance rescinded. It is uncommon to have one’s acceptance revoked, and even if there was a significant drop in your grades, you could be accepted on probation.

There is certainly a chance, some schools are less forgiving of Ds and can and will revoke for it, though it is not a done deal. What did your acceptance documents say about maintaining grades? You’d better contact them and be proactive about it.

Well first semester I had 2As, 1B, and 2C- so it is not much different.

Therefore, if your overall GPA is similar, and since it was only a slight drop in one grade, you are likely okay. However, I am not the college and can’t guarantee one way or another. I agree with BrownParent that you should check acceptance documents and contact the school.

Yeah, the school said you need a C- or better in a-g classes and math said 3 years required for that but this is my 4th year of math so… Ill probably be fine right

Call the school to find out. Each school has a different policy on revoking admission.
