Sorry, it's just as we begin to inch towards deadlines and I'm soon facing the prospect of January exams, I want to get my university applications out of the way. I've been told what kind of tiers I should be aiming at but I'm not overly familiar with teh US university system so some help would be appreciated. I'm looking for specific names if possible.

Funding is not an issue and I'm not overly concerned about geographic locations.

I'm an international student (part Arab, part Pakistani)

GCSE: 2A* 8A
AS Level: B (Physics)
A2 PREDICTION: AAA (Maths, Econ, History)
(although my teacher has told me that she expects me to get an A* at Maths, providing I don't muck up like I did in AS)

SAT I :
- Maths : 580 (weak, I know) - hoping to bring it up in December
- Critical Reading: 650
- Writing: 730

SAT II:
- Maths 2 - (Pending)
- Physics - (Pending)

(Doing them on Nov 19)

ACT:

Extra curricular:

First taking part then being appointed as director of the MUN club - in charge of training
delegates and organising conferences.

Appointed prefect

Took part in an international teen summitt in Seattle (was one of 12 students selected to do so) - Reverse was when I then hosted students from Seattle in a similar conference back home

Represented school at hockey,

One weeks work experience at an international development fund

Spent a week involved in a community development project in Mauritus (5-6 hours each day)

Spent a week helping children from low cost schools in a deprived area of the country (part of an IB school's 'project week') - (5-6 hours each day)

Voluntary work at a hospital (not sure how many hours)

Voluntary work within school - (an hour a week for a whole year, helping lower grades with science work)

*based on all this, I would really appreciate some names as to what kind of schools I should realistically be aiming for. Couple of safeties would also be appreciated. *
