Ohh okay, I thought you meant the chancellor’s interview selection process is done @hailtopitt1787
@hailtopitt1787 thank you so much! I had the same confusion as @shooting4stars
The nominating phase is done, but if you were previously nominated and sent in your supplemental materials for Chancellors, you could still be invited to interview.
Also I think it is by letter that you are notified if you don’t advance to interview phase for Chancellor’s.
I believe the Chancellor’s interview invites came by email.
S finally got he no thanks letter today. He can still access the scholarship application portal, so I don’t think that was actually a clue for the decision. Good luck to the rest of you going forward!
So far on here we have just four who have been offered interviews?
Anyone else?
Has anyone else heard yes or no? Still haven’t heard anything
Update: I found my rejection letter in the mountain of papers on my desk. It was mailed in early February.
@shooting4stars – darn! I’m bummed for you but wow I’m glad that wasn’t a time-sensitive notification of sorts! Best of luck with your next steps!
I haven’t heard anything yet; should I have?
@college61728 – I think interview notifications are still going out. If you are invited to interview you will get an email. An actual letter is sent to your house if you are not being invited to interview.
When did you complete your Chancellors essays and application?
Well–in the hopes of not having a conversation only with myself
Who all has interviewed? Has anyone heard back one way or the other? If anyone from last year’s CS process wants to chime in it would help us pass the time!
D interviewed a few weeks ago. Looks like some years they released the decisions on a rolling basis and some years they wait until well into April.
I think the longer you wait to hear the better the news. Perhaps waiting to compare to future interviews rather than saying no right away
DD got her “No thanks” letter as a birthday present.
Good luck to all who are still waiting!
Hey guys! I interviewed toward the end of February. It was a long process; you talk with a current student, two honors college faculty, and the Dean of Honors. I got my “thanks for interviewing but no thanks” letter yesterday. I’m not surprised, honestly, because I didn’t think my interview went that well. Just wanted to let everyone know about the process.
@JemmaSimmons – thanks for coming back to let us know. It truly helps everyone else who is waiting on pins and needles. You are an awesome student who has worked hard and you have some amazing opportunities in front of you-- best wishes!
Just chiming in to say that D interviewed a few weeks ago in February and just got her letter today that she did not receive Chancellors either. She really felt the interview went well and all of the follow-up she received also hinted at good things to come so this is disappointing.
Best of luck to those still interviewing!
Sorry to hear that @carachel2 . I was rooting for her.
@perch1024 --aww thanks! We took a few hours to be a bit bummed but are moving on. I am super thankful they let us know and did not draw the “unknown” out until late April. That would’ve been pure torture.
I just found out that I got the scholarship!!! I interviewed last week.
