I am a senior and have just decided I want to apply to UW Madison. This is actually really bad timing because it is just after the EA deadline, and I will have to apply regular decision. Because of this, I will not know about my decision until March. However, I am of Hispanic origin, meaning I would be eligible for the Chancellor’s and Powers-Knapp scholarships. The priority deadline is November 15 for these scholarships. I have heard that decision for priority applicants usually come out in January or February. Would my decision on the scholarship be postponed because I applied regular decision? Or would I find out my regular admission decision a bit earlier if I receive the scholarship?
